Chicken Stew With Chestnuts (板栗烧鸡)

Ingredients:

Chicken 1/4(500grams)

Chestnut 250grams

Garlic 5grams

Pepper 5grams

Fresh ginger 10grams

Hot pepper 10grams

Rice wine 2tsp

Dark soy sauce 3tsp

Salt 2tsp

Directions:

1. Chop the chicken into small chunks and then put the chicken on to boil and take them out immediately. Put aside for later use.

2. Add the chestnuts into water stew 5 minutes then put them aside for later use.

3. Pour the cooking oil into pot, heat and when the oil is about 135- 200 Celsius degrees . Add ginger, garlic, and hot pepper then fry them until good smell comes. Next, add chicken chunks, fry them until their color turns yellow. Next, sprinkle salt over it. Pour 3 tablespoons of dark soy sauce and a little bit of rice wine.

4. Add water, the water should cover the chicken chunks a little bit, stew 5 minutes. After that, mix it with chestnuts and stew for 15 minutes. So, the dish is ready now.
