Two souls reaching for each other,
Across the onslaught of noise, glaring lights and jostling bodies
It seems futile, hopeless, that they would ever join,
But still they struggle, eyes locked, hearts pounding
To join in a union
The most unseemly of places,
The security screening line at the airport
Represents the face of humanity
Poor, Rich, White, Black Brown, Short, Tall
And it continues, so many varieties, such a diverse crowd
And they shuffle, putting one foot in front of the next,
Following the never ending zigzag of the maze that they have entered.
Nervously eyeing their watches, every moment passing adds another level of anxiety
The road warriors, with an air of resignation over this never ending ritual which must be endured
The families, children buzzing with excitement, father and mother patiently waiting
The young couples, fresh in what they call love, thrilling with the adventure of it all
Then there is you and I, amongst all others, this is where the story starts:
Where Lady of grace,
