This topic will examine the timely topic of violence in society, not from any specific country or region, but in general.  We will not look at violence in the "abstract" but rather from our own personal experiences.  Things to consider: is there more violence or do we live in a world where due to the reach and accessibility of the internet and 24/7 news cycle, the reporting of violent incidents is higher than previously reported?
