This debate will look at the pros/cons of allowing teachers to carry weapons into a school environment.  While some people may feel that in an era of tragic school shootings, allowing the teachers to carry guns for self defense of students and themselves is the right thing to do, other may feel that this could lead to accidents and/or more tragedy.

Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut; a conference center in San Bernardino, California, where a holiday party was taking place; Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina -- these are some of the more public places that have seen major mass shootings.
